Our friend recently went to Tim Hortons here in New York. If you haven't been to a Tim Hortons, it's a cafe and bakeshop that is very popular in Canada. We first discovered it when we went to Niagara Falls back in 2017.
Well, I had to find out where she went and it is located in Staten Island, New York. We decided to visit early one Saturday morning for breakfast.
Look at all of these yummy muffins and donuts.
Below you can see the breakfast meals. I decided to get a breakfast meal of an egg, bacon, and cheese on an English muffin and a coffee.
All of the assorted coffee was displayed on shelves.
As you can see in the photos they had a large variety of flavored coffee to choose from.
We bought a bag of medium roast coffee. When I make our coffee I add some of this Tim Hortons coffee mixed in with our Starbucks coffee. I am a mixologist! LOL. Starbucks coffee is very strong so adding in the Tim Hortons medium roast made the coffee not as strong tasting.
I kept it simple and had a regular hot coffee.
My egg sandwich tasted so good. I decided after eating the sandwich to try a donut and I'm glad I did. The old-fashioned donut was so yummy! I had a good time indulging in the donut and I split it with my husband.
I'm happy we made a trip to Tim Hortons for breakfast. Eating breakfast at Tim Hortons reminded me of our trip we took to Canada and the wonderful memories I have of Niagara Falls.
Have you ever been to Tim Hortons?
I love when you go somewhere and it evokes such memories! We do not have one of these close but I have always wanted to go to one! The donuts alone or making me drool! Have a great start to your week!
ReplyDeleteThat looks yummy! I love a Tim Horton's but only been to one in Canada. I bet the ground coffee is so good!
ReplyDeleteWe love Tim Horton's, Julie! There's nothing like their coffee and their doughnuts are amazing! We always visit them in Canada and we've visited them in the US too. There are a few opening up here in the UK now, but our nearest is 1.5 hours away in Milton Keynes! We have only been once, but now things are opening up we may be able to go again. Meanwhile, I can get the coffee online... Thank you for sharing your visit (and those mouthwatering doughnut photos) with the Hearth and Soul Link Party.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great Julie, I wouldn't know what to choose it all looks so yummy. I haven't seen them here in the UK yet.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday. I have never heard of Tim Hortons. The store looks amazing with their donuts and coffee. I am enjoying my virtual tour.
ReplyDeleteYes, been there many times. Here in Canada we love our Timmie's. The drive thru is often backed up to the main roads here! So glad you enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed our visit to Tim Hortons. Thanks for the blog visit.
DeleteI'm a Canadian and yes, Timmie's a big deal over here. We have multiple locations in our small hamlet - that's how popular they are! AND there's usually a lineup of cars at the drive thru at every single one of them. LOL My favorite donut is the old fashioned.
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed visiting Tim Hortons. How nice to have them all over where you live Marie. Thanks for the blog visit.
DeleteLove following you on your adventures Julie!
ReplyDeleteThanks Maya!
DeleteWe had several Tim Horton's here in central NY state, then they suddenly closed up a few years ago, all at the same time. We still have Dunkin Donuts, which is mediocre...but in every town. Their bagged coffees are really good though, we can get it for 3 one pound bags for twenty bucks. Their donuts are okay, I'd rather go to a "real" bakery if I were to indulge. There is still a Tim Horton's up in Watertown, close to Canada...(if you ever want to start an argument with a Canadian, tell them that Dunkin is better than Timmies....)
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad that some of the Tim Hortons closed. I am glad we visited and I love their coffee. Thanks for the blog visit!
DeleteI have never been to Tim Horton’s, Julie, but I’ve seen them in Ohio. I’ve never seen any here in Texas. I’ll have to visit one when I go back to visit my sister and brother in Columbus.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks yummy. I have heard of Tim Horton's but have not been in one. Glad you had a great time. xoxo
ReplyDeleteSounds delicious...we got to one in Canada, but there are none around our area. Glad you got a donut!!!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to a Tim Hortons but it sounds like my kind of place. I enjoy eating at Paneras and they have great breakfast sandwiches, bagels and coffees in the morning with soups, salads and sandwiches the rest of the day. When we are able to travel again, I'll keep my eye open for Tim's. Looking forward to trying it! Zenda
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to a Tim Horton's since our trip to Niagara falls too! They had the best smelling pastries and donuts.
ReplyDeleteMy kids went to Canada last year and they loved it. They still talk about the glazed donuts!!
ReplyDeleteAs a Canadian, Tim Hortons is a staple in our house, LOL. I'm always amused to see different kinds of donuts in the U.S Tim Hortons than we carry here in Canada. It's a great way to try something new :) Stopping in from Making a Home linky party to say HI!
ReplyDeleteNice to see a Tim Horton's. I have heard about it but never seen one here on the West Coast.
