I love crocheting different projects throughout the year. How about you?
Front of Ear Warmer |
I just finished crocheting this ear warmer that I started working on a while back, as far as three years ago. It's one of those projects where I worked on it and then I stopped for some reason.
Back of Ear Warmer |
The pattern for this ear warmer is found in the book Clever Crocheted Accessories by Brett Bara. This book and patterns are available on Amazon.

Below is what the ear warmer looks like worn on the model. I used a different color yarn scheme than the blue colors of the yarn shown here. I went with more gold, orange, and light green multi colored yarn.
This is what I used to make the crocheted ear warmer:
For the yarn I used: Cascade Yarns Magnum - Color No. 9478 - Lot. No. 279910 - I'm not sure if they still make this color yarn, but you can substitute it for any colored yarn you like.
Crochet Hook - US size K
** It's best to use thick chunky yarn for this project.
This is a great alternative if you do not like wearing a hat in the winter. You can also use this as a neck warmer.
I hope I've inspired you to crochet this ear warmer to keep you warm this winter! This also makes a great holiday gift.

ReplyDeleteI wish I could crochet as beautifully as you do Julie. Those ear warmers would come in handy here today.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great ear warmer and it looks so fashionable. I am sure you need them back in NYC. Hear that you have snow and cold weather. Maybe you will have a white Christmas.

It's lovely Julie, so unusual. I have lots of half finished projects languishing in bags all over the place. :) x
ReplyDeleteI love these ear warmers and remember wearing them years ago when we lived in Northern NM and my hair was long...way back in the olden days! heehee! Enjoy your week! I think I'm going to try to find a pattern for a small flat angel to crochet. Hugs, Diane

Your ear warmer is so pretty, Julie! Yours looks like a band, but on the model it looks like a hat. Both are so gorgeous!
