Hello friends. I hope you're staying warm and cozy after a cold and snowy week. We just survived the blizzard of 2026. I'm eager for the snow to melt and for warmer weather to arrive. BRING ON SPRING!!
The topic this month is Ways We Make Our Weeks Easier.
HERE ARE THE QUESTIONS:
1. I tend to be a paper planner. I use my iphone calendar for any appointments and events I have planned for the day.
2. Yes, I do meal planning for each week. It helps me with planning our meals each week. I also use the Hello Fresh daily meal kit from time to time. I will usually pick out two meals for the week. This is an easy way to plan out my meals, and it comes with all of the ingredients to make a meal, with a recipe card included and delivered right to my door.
3. Yes, I usually lay out my clothes the night before for the next day. This is easy and saves me time, especially on the days that I go to my gym.
4. My one tip for doing laundry is that I have a basket for dark clothes and one for white clothes. I do not let the laundry basket get overflowed, and I try to do the laundry every few days. I will put the clothes away right after they are folded.
5. We do big grocery shopping at Costco and BJ's. For the little shopping that I need to do, I will go to our local grocery store. I also will shop online from time to time at Fresh Direct, which is convenient, and the groceries are delivered right to my door.
6. One of my tips for getting out the door in the morning is setting up my coffee pot the night before. When I get up in the morning, I just have to plug in the coffee pot. I make sure all of the pots and pans are put away the night before.
7. If I know I am going to be busy for the day and need an easy dinner, it's heating up a frozen pizza from Costco in the oven. We usually will have a salad on the side. I like making soup on the stove or in the crockpot.
8. We like using our Dyson vacuum cleaner on our rugs each week. I also use a Swiffer mop on our wood floors. I like to put away blankets, pillows, and remote controls the night before. I empty our dishwasher in the morning. I sometimes will set out in the afternoon what pots and pan, plates, napkins, and utensils that I will need to make dinner.
9. An easy breakfast is cereal or an English muffin with butter or cream cheese and coffee.
10. I think I've shared some good tips for staying organized and making our weeks easier.

ReplyDeleteAn organized life Julie. Meal planning save time and money. I always enjoy leftovers. I think that snow storm was quite the blizzard. Bring on spring.
ReplyDeleteOh I haven't had an English muffin in ages. I love those!
ReplyDeleteThese are all great tips Julie and I do a lot of them. I'm still a paper planner girl but also use my phone calendar as a backup. I like to make things as easy as possible and set out my yoga clothes the night before. I also start pulling things I'll need for dinner in the afternoon. I hope you are keeping warm and getting some melting! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteYou are very organized, Julie, and I am, too. It keeps our lives calm and not chaotic. I still love writing things on paper myself. Have you tried the sourdough pizzas from Costco? You get three in a package and you can freeze the other two for another time. They’re very good.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
You have excellent organization tips! I try to pick up the night before but sometimes -- well, it doesn't happen! I'm a paper planner too, but not a meal planner. I keep a pretty well-stocked freezer and fill in last minute if need be. These are such fun posts.
ReplyDeleteLove the tips. I am pretty well organized but often do my daily meal planning on a daily-rather than weekly- basis. Have a really great weekend- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteGood ideas, Julie - I keep my freezer stocked, especially soups, for a quick meal.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting more organized with my meal planning. I also like paper planners. Old school works best for me! Enjoy the sun today!!
ReplyDeleteMeal planning has saved me so much time and money. Only buying what I actually need for the week and not let ingredients go to waste.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that my husband pre-makes coffee the night before and all I have to do in the morning is press "on." This was a tip from friends and it has seriously made such a HUGE difference in our mornings!
