Fall 2026 and Pumpkin Spice Cottage Cheese Muffins

October 21, 2026

Hello friends, I hope you are all enjoying fall.  The weather has turned cool, and the leaves on the trees are turning pretty shades of yellow, red, and brown.  My dog Lucy and I enjoy taking our afternoon walks.🍁🍂

Once fall arrives, I always get the urge to bake some muffins.  I recently made pumpkin spice cottage cheese muffins.

The muffins came out soft and slightly sweet-tasting but not too sweet.  These cozy high-protein muffins are naturally sweet and perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack.

I hope you enjoy these muffins!

**  PLEASE NOTE:  I was able to stretch out the batter and make 9 muffins.

I also put out a few fall decorations in my kitchen and on my living room mantel.

I love adding these crochet pumpkins I made a few years ago to my kitchen windowsill.

I love decorating my mantel with these small fall signs and pumpkins.

I used to do more Halloween decorating when my daughter was small.  Now, I tend to decorate with fall decorations.

In our neighborhood, a lot of people love decorating with skeletons and scary decorations.  I know it's popular to decorate this way, but I like cute Halloween decorations and costumes.

Have you done any fall or Halloween decorating yet?  Have you done any fall baking?  I'd love to know.

I hope you are all enjoying fall and this beautiful weather.

  1. I did decorate for fall but not Halloween. Your muffins sound like a nice, healthy treat.

  2. I've done some fall and Halloween decorating but don't lean too spooky. Your neighbohood must have some amazing displays! Those pumpkins look yummy. I haven't done any fall baking yet but I want to!

  4. I love fall decor, but like you, not scary Halloween displays. It seems like the young families in my neighborhood do really scary stuff, which always makes me laugh. Their little kids are less tougher than I am! Haha! Those muffins look great. Now that the weather has changed, I'm ready for some warm baked goods!!

  6. I do fall decor low key. I have seen some of the neighborhoods that have the tall skeleton and monsters around here. Seems popular. We are going to have a beautiful halloween this year for the kids to trick or treat. I miss having little ones coming in costume. The muffins look yummy. Have a great rest of the week. Hugs. Kris

  9. I saved this recipe and it is something I will definitely try. I like the sweet Halloween decorations and don't do scary....well, I did do a floating ghost cling-on on my front door...it's spooky sweet but not scary.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend. xo Diana
