Family Trip to Asia - Part 6

August 22, 2019

Hello blog friends.

We are now onto Family Trip to Asia - Part 6.

We arrived at our hotel The Intercontinental Saigon in Vietnam.

This was our view from our hotel room.

We decided once we were all settled into our hotel room to go out and explore the area.

Below is a photo of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Ho Chi Minh City located downtown.  Due to the construction being done on the cathedral we were not able to go inside.

This is the outside of the Central Post Office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The Inside of the Post Office.

We found this street that had pop up book stores/cafes lined along the street.

After a long day, we decided to stop into McDonald's for dinner.  My husband and I decided to try their fried chicken which was delicious!  Sorry, no photos of the food.  :(

The next day we took our time eating our buffet breakfast inside the hotel.  We took a taxi to have spa time.  We all got massages and facials that were amazing!  I love that they were only $30 US money!

Our next day we had breakfast and then did some more sightseeing.

Below is the Independence Palace which is also known as the Reunification Palace.  It was the home and workplace of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War.

We saw the War Remnants Museum.

Some planes and tanks used during the Vietnam War.

On a happier note, we had a lovely dinner at a Vietnamese Restaurant.

We enjoyed the cool drinks.  The restaurant was open with many trees inside with twinkling white lights.

Shown below is some delicious food we shared.

The next day we would be leaving for our last part of our trip.  We would be traveling to Hong Kong to stay for three nights.

Stay tuned for the last part of our Family Trip to Asia.
