Hello friends, would you like a piece of lasagna? Well, I'd love to share with you this super easy and delicious recipe. We love it so much and I enjoy making this when we are entertaining family or friends. This is always great to make and serve for any holiday.
The trick to making this fast and easy dish is using no-boil noodles and no meat.
I made this for dinner recently and it tasted so amazing. It was so easy to make and assemble. I made a large batch for dinner and there was enough pieces left over for the next day.
Pair this with Italian bread and a salad and you have a meal for dinner, a party, or a special occasion.
SUPER EASY LASAGNA RECIPE
Makes 10 to 12 servings.
Ingredients:
1 jar of spaghetti sauce (or you can use your own homemade sauce)
1 3/4 cup (15 oz.) ricotta cheese
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1 box oven ready lasagna, uncooked (I used Ronzoni)
4 cups (16 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
1) Remove noodles from package. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Have sauce ready to use. 2) In a small bowl, stir together ricotta cheese, egg, basil, and oregano.
ASSEMBLY:
1) In a 13x9x2 inch baking dish, spread 3/4 cup of spaghetti sauce on bottom of pan. 2) Place 3 pieces of uncooked noodles crosswise over sauce. Pieces should not overlap or touch side of pan since the noodles will expand when baked. 3) Spread 2/3 cup ricotta mixture evenly over pasta. Spread 3/4 cup spaghetti sauce over ricotta mixture evenly covering pasta completely; sprinkle with 1 cup mozzarella cheese. 4) Repeat these steps 2 and 3 TWO more times. Top with remaining 3 noodles and spread remaining spaghetti sauce over noodles; sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. 5) Cover with foil. Bake 30 minutes; remove foil. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting. Serve with additional sauce, if desired.
Done!
** Extra pieces can be stored in a container to use for another time.
** The directions to make this lasagna were from the box of Ronzoni noodles.

Thanks everyone and enjoy!

I also use the uncooked noodles in my lasagna and that makes it so much easier. My sis in law, Barb, makes great lasagna and when I asked for her recipe, she told me she got it from the Muellers box and happily shared it with me. It is my go to lasagna now. Most people like lasagna so i often make it for dinner guests.
ReplyDeleteThis is such an easy way to make it and right up my alley being vegetarian! Yum!! Wishing you a lovely Easter! Enjoy this nice weather we're getting!

ReplyDeleteThank you for this easy and yummy recipe Julie. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteYour lasagna looks so tasty, Julie! I use the no-boil method, too, and love it. I have never seen the Ronzoni brand around here, but I use Barilla pasta. By not using meat, would make it a nice meatless dinner.
ReplyDeleteThe bag you won from Kim is so pretty for Spring. Congratulations! Happy Easter blessings to you.
Yummy, I love lasagna.

Hi Julie,
ReplyDeleteI have always loved lasagna. Thanks for sharing on Real Food Fridays. Pinned & tweeted!
Julie, looks delicious. I still, after all the years they've had them, not tried no-boil lasagne noodles! Guess old habits die hard, but I'm going to make a point of trying them next time!
ReplyDeleteMy Italian grandmother would be laughing at the no-boil noodles these days. I still have to do it the old fashion way. I've tried the no-boil pasta and it comes out okay, but something about the extra thickness of the regular kind still holds strong for me. The way I see it, lasagna in any form is a delight. Thanks for sharing this yummy recipe at Party at My Place. Happy Easter sweet lady!
ReplyDeleteThis recipe is perfect when vegetarian guests visit.

Sounds delicious, Julie. I love lasagna and I wish my hubby liked it as much as I do. I always use no cook noodles but I always make my own sauce. Actually what I do is, I make my sauce for spaghetti and then use the rest for my lasagna. Always a treat! Thanks so much for sharing and linking up with me. Have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi

Hopefully I'll get back to a regular schedule and back to linking up to your's and Jess's linky party.) Hope you had a nice Easter. I'm featuring this recipe at tomorrow's Thriving on Thursdays.
