Macy's Flower Show - Part 1

April 21, 2016

Hello friends.  I recently went to the Macy's Flower Show in New York City with a friend.  It's been so many years since I've seen this spactacular show.  It is always held each year in the spring.  It was so fun to spend the day looking at spring plants and flowers and get some inspiration for spring gardening.  Come along and let me show you our day!

We both got into the city early in the morning, as to avoid the big crowds of people who were there for the flower show and to shop in the store.  Luckily the day that we went was a warm and sunny day.

We decided to look first at the outside windows displayed with all of their colorful flowers.  I just love those hydrangeas and daffodils.

It was hard to get good photos of the flowers in the windows due to the reflection of the glass.  The window below is of the redwood trees in California and the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge.

Next is the Southwest and look at the pretty flowers among the rocks.

I just love the colors of those pink tulips and hyacinth.

Look at all those gorgeous white flowers.

I thought the display below of the dog, his toy, and bowl of water, was so adorable.  The dog even has flowers around his neck for the collar.

Look at the different flower and plant combos.  There is just so much inspiration for spring gardening.

Yellow daffodils are one of my favorite springtime flowers.  I like the color contrast of the yellow and pink flowers.

Those are just some of the photos I took of the outside windows at the Macy's Flower Show.  I hope you all enjoyed looking at these gorgeous spring flowers.

I didn't want to overload you with too many photos in one post.  I will be showing you the flower show broken up into two more posts.  I will be showing you Part 2 of the flower show in another post next week.

Have you ever been to the Macy's Flower Show and did you see it this year?

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.  See you all back here on Monday for Cooking and Crafting with J & J Link Up!

  17. Julie, I didn't know about this show and who would have thought it would be at Macy's. I'll go anywhere that they have pretty flowers.

My son went to college in Chicago for two years and the big Macy's there was my favorite.
