Crock Pot Mashed Potatoes

January 8, 2016

Hello everyone.  Sorry, but I didn't have a chance to share this recipe with you until now.  I hosted Thanksgiving at my house and to make things easy, I decided to make Crock Pot Mashed Potatoes.  Have you ever made them before?  Well these are so easy to make and in a few hours you can have them ready to eat.

You take the potatoes, and wash, peel, and cut them up into small pieces, and just add them to the crock pot.

Add chicken stock, butter, and chopped up garlic.

Set the crock pot on High for 3 to 4 hours and let them cook.  When finished I added some milk and just mashed them up with a potato masher.

This is what they looked like when they were done.

This was so easy for me to make for a crowd of 9 people.  I used a 5 pound bag of potatoes.  We were able to have left overs for our guests and our selves.

For the recipe, I found it on Pinterest HERE.

NOTE: I did not have sour cream or Greek yogurt like the recipe called for and they still tasted great.

I am so happy I made the mashed potatoes this way, and everyone liked them.  I liked that I was able to free up my stove for the other food I was cooking.

Have you ever made your mashed potatoes this way?  If not you are going to love it!!

Thanks for stopping by and wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Thanks everyone and enjoy!

  20. My sister does a crock pot recipe, but I believe she uses some butter and milk, and the hand mixer to fluff them up at the end. Like that they stay good and warm in the crock pot and off the stovetop. Thanks for the recipe.

  21. i made these once...and they were a fail :(

i found my recipe on pinterest but it did not call for any liquid. the potatoes stuck to the side of the crock pot and browned. they tasted fine, but they were not mashed potatoes.

yours look wonderful, and makes more sense, i will try them this way next time!!!
