Crocheted Christmas Ornament Pattern

Monday, August 5, 2013

Christmas is only 5 months away and I don't mean to alarm anyone, but how would you like to make your own Christmas Ornament?  I have made and designed a really easy pattern for a Crocheted Christmas Ornament that you can be make in one one sitting.  For this pattern I used kitchen cotton, but you could also use acrylic yarn if you don't have any cotton yarn available.

Look how cute the ornament is and wouldn't a homemade ornament look great on your Christmas Tree?

CROCHETED CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT PATTERN

Crochet Hook: US size G
Yarn: Lily Sugar 'n Cream - Cotton - Color: Playtime (The yarn in the middle)
Yarn: Martha Stewart Crafts - Cotton Hemp - Color: Sour Cherry (The yarn on outside)

sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet

1) With Playtime yarn Chain 5, sl st to join to make circle, ch 1
2) sc 7 times in ring, ch 1
3) sc 2 times in each st, ch 1
4) With Sour Cherry yarn hdc 2 times in each st, ch 2
