Iced White Tea Recipe

May 27, 2013

I hope everyone had a great long weekend!  Now that summer is approaching, how would you like to have a glass of refreshing Iced White Tea?  Well it is such a healthy tea to drink and it is so easy to make.  I want to share it with you how I make this at home.

First fill a large pot with water and boil.

This is the container of the White Tea that I use.  It is Teavana and I use the Silver Yin Zhen Pearls White Tea.  I bought this in the Teavana store in New Jersey at the Garden State Plaza Mall.

This is what the pearls look like.

For a large pot I usually use 6 pearls and add this into a tea infuser and then put this into a pot of boiling water and let steep for 5 minutes.

Take the tea infuser out of the water after 5 minutes of steeping and let the pot of tea cool off.

This is what the tea leaves look like when you take the infuser out of the water after 5 minutes.

When the pot of white tea cools off you can pour it into a large pitcher and there you have your Iced White Tea!  It's so cool and refreshing!  If you do not like your tea iced then you can drink it hot!

I added to the glass of iced tea, mint leaves that are growing in my container garden in my yard!

Why not try this tea?  I know you are going to love it and it's healthy too.  It tastes so good that you don't even need sugar in it.  Let me know how it you like it!

Thanks everyone and enjoy.

  5. Hi Julie,
I love tea in fact I drink several cups a day, so I was delighted to read your post on the pleasures on white tea which I understand is a good source of antioxidants. Of course, I love the addition of fresh mint from your own garden! I am so glad you shared this with us at the Plant-Based Potluck Party Blog Hop! I appreciate it!
